Role Summary

The PCAOB has a full-time, regular position for a Senior Administrative Coordinator in the Office of Administration (OA) at its Washington, DC (Headquarters) office. This is a non-exempt position that will report to the Chief Operating Officer (COO). This key role will provide a variety of administrative support to the COO, Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO), Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Director of Facilities and Operations, and the OA staff. This role will require a highly motivated self-starter willing to assume a wide range of responsibilities in a fast-paced and professional environment.Responsibilities

  • Under limited supervision, perform a variety of administrative tasks and moderately complex assignments in direct support of the COO, CHRO, CFO, and the Director of Facilities and Operations; including heavy calendar management, creating presentations, proofreading and responding to correspondence.
  • Interact with various levels of contacts both inside and outside the organization;
  • Maintain standards of confidentiality with respect to all matters and documents;
  • Ensure high level of accuracy with close attention to detail and manage priorities well;
  • Research assignments and processes and analyze data, must be proficient in Word, Excel, HTML, Visio and PowerPoint;
  • Handle routine problems and unexpected situations and provide assistance in problem resolution;
  • Will assist in developing and maintaining Internal SharePoint website;
  • May plan, coordinate, and execute internal and external events hosted by OA;
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and process and reconcile expenses;
  • Schedule and organize appointments, meetings, and conferences;
  • Write, edit, and proofread correspondences, reports, and various other documents;
  • Create, copy, organize, and maintain confidential files and records;

QualificationsEducation/Technical Expertise

  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred;
  • Minimum of 5+ years of solid administrative experience in a professional, corporate atmosphere;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook applications (e.g. knowledge of mail merges);
  • Knowledge of basic web concepts (e.g. proficient user of online search engines, understanding of using online surveys and forms, and basic understanding of HTML);
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management, co-workers, and external parties;
  • Solid time management, organization, and prioritization skills;
  • Ability to meet deadlines and make effective decisions;
  • Ability to handle confidential matters with professionalism and discretion;
  • Ability to multi-task, work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines, and be flexible;
  • Ability to work with limited supervision and exercise good judgement;
  • Detail-oriented and proactive;
  • Must have a professional, positive attitude and strong problem solving skills;
  • A self-starter able to administer a number of open, ongoing assignments at any one time, where some assignments are routinely unstructured, requiring autonomy and independent judgment;
  • Ability to effectively represent the organization to a variety of both internal and external constituencies;
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills;

Pay: $71,400.00 - $96,000.00 per year
