Jacobs PC is looking to hire an additional Bankruptcy litigator and restructuring professional to our growing practice.

The attorneys will be responsible for drafting and arguing motions in state and federal courts; communicating with and managing clients, opposing counsel, and outside counsel; running and executing litigation strategy; taking and defending depositions; discovery; legal research and fact investigations; and assisting with transactional matters.

This role will be a Senior Associate role with an eye for a non-equity partner role at first . The starting salary for this full time position is $185,000.00 plus competitive benefits.

It will be a commuting position (in person) to the City office: 595 Madison (across the street from Jacobs & cCo.) 57 Street & Madison.

Qualifications:

8+ years preferable from a boutique midsized firm.

The ideal candidates should have experience with commercial and/or real estate litigation is a must, experience in business law is a plus.

Abilities must include Chapter 11 work (SARE's, Corporate Pledges, UCC-9 sales, Corporate Reorganization). No 7 & 13 experience.

Must be admitted to New York State and Federal Courts (EDNY NDNY SDNY ).

The prospective candidate must be detail oriented and possess excellent analytical, legal writing and research skills as well as ability to communicate with clients, and Court personnel.
