Job Description: The Senior Project Manager provides the overall planning, coordination, and direction for project management activities to ensure they meet owner needs, specifications, cost, and schedule, from initial project identification through construction closeout. May supervise office/field administrative staff, project/field engineers, assistant project/construction managers, project/construction managers and other assigned staff.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for providing the following services or for supervising the Project Management team members that perform these services:

• Primary contact and liaison for owner and principle partner entities for the contract, design, systems, procedures and related deliverables
• Act as owner advocate while maintaining client satisfaction
• Ability to work as a team member with limited supervision
• Develops project specific procedures and documentation, and consults with Owner on design and construction contracts and related design and development elements for the project
• Functional knowledge of transportation project approval and coordination elements, contracts, drawings, estimates, and specifications
• Ensures contracts, drawings, estimates, and specifications comply with construction/project requirements
• Obtains, maintains, and manages data, information, communications, and approvals required by project and company requirements between owner, architects, engineers, and other project-related entities
• May assist in representing owner, project and related parties in public forums and meetings
• Manages project controls, cost, and performance activities and procedures, project logistics, organization, systems and project closeout
• Leads in project meetings to include documentation, administration, and tracking of relevant information and statuses
• Manages bid phase services, as may be required by the client
• Employee development, including coaching, mentoring, and some supervision
• Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure program and project success

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent is required
• Minimum of 7 years of experience providing program / project / construction management services on transportation and/or water/wastewater projects
• Experience with project development and construction of road and bridge projects or water/wastewater is required
• Experience in managing the full development / construction of transportation and/or water wastewater (including developing needs assessments, condition assessments, master planning, implementation plans, and functional performance analysis), or transportation construction project life cycle: including pre-construction, design phases, and oversight of constructability reviews is preferred
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite products, and experience with project-related systems such as Prolog and Primavera are required
• Proficiency with various document control systems
• Professional Architectural License or Professional Engineering (PE) License in California required
• Certified Construction Manager preferred

Offered rate of compensation will be based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including education, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. The Salary range for this position is $130,000-$155,000.
