About This Role
As a Senior Software Engineer you will work on all parts of Automated Logic's building automation system running the gamut of Java-centric server, web client, mobile, embedded, desktop, cloud, containerization, and database technologies. As a leading team member this individual will have responsibility for major project pieces and see them through to completion. A Senior Software Engineer should also have an appetite for learning new technologies to apply them to Automated Logic's product offerings and instruct others about their use and benefits. They will also mentor junior-level developers regarding product knowledge and technology suites. They will also be setting an example through their use of test-driven development along with elevated coding standards and best practices.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Electrical Engineering
• 5+ years of software development experience with Java

Preferred Qualifications

Other qualifications you may have that would be beneficial in this role include:

• Strong knowledge of web-based technologies (Javascript, HTML5, CSS3, REST, JSP, Java servlets, and other web-based technologies)
• Experience collaborating in an agile team environment
• Knowledge of Linux systems
• Experience working with open-source software
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Excellent analytical and logical reasoning skills
• Strong Test-Driven Development (TDD) skills
