SUMMARY

Savings Bank of Mendocino County has proudly been serving the needs of our communities since 1903 and is seeking a qualified professional for the role of a Small Business Banker in the Small Business Lending Department. This position involves evaluating small business loans under $500,000 and managing small business relationships. You will work extensively with the community, small business owners, the Small Business Banking Supervisor, the Chief Credit Officer, and the Credit Administration Team.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of three years retail banking experience in a dynamic environment, preferably focused on small business banking. A successful person in this role is proactive; highly motivated to meet team objectives, while maintaining individual performance; analytical; and has strong communication and time management skills. This employee must be comfortable interacting regularly with a broad range of individuals, including customers, executive officers, and support staff. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Three years' experience and/or training in banking, finance, or similar position
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

PREFERENCES

• Associate degree in a field related to the position
• Credit analysis and underwriting experience
• Experience managing a dedicated book of small business customers
• Knowledge and understanding of retail compliance controls, risk management and loss prevention
• Bilingual skills
