Job Summary:

As a software developer with SKF Digital Solutions, you will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, and running software applications, built on a Windows PC based platform using C# and .NET frameworks initially in support of a legacy application but could also include web and potentially Mobile platforms that enable innovative, data-driven, digital experiences that improve operational effectiveness of SKF’s customers. You will be working as part of a collaborative, cross-functional, Agile team, employing best practices in development, security, and design.

Skills Needed for Success:

• Mobile Development experience (Kotlin/Swift).
• Web Development experience (HTML5, JavaScript, Angular, Bootstrap CSS).
• Golang
• React
• COM
• C++
• Github and branching strategies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field preferred.
• Experience with developing Windows PC based Software, scalable systems for optimal performance and security, as well as experience with coding.
• Windows PC based application development.
• Windows Development environment.
• MS SQL Server or similar DBMS.
• C#, .NET core.
• Working knowledge of MS Office and Azure DevOps.

Desired Experience and Attributes:

• Proven ability to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software applications.
• Proven experience developing Windows PC based software.
• Experience in developing scalable systems with performance, maintenance, and security in mind.
• Capable of evaluating and recommending technology choices.
• Proven ability to identify problem areas in code and suggest solutions on how to tackle.
• Make the teams you work with better through collaboration with team members in an Agile environment.
• Desire to work on high-performing Agile team.
• Highly organized, analytical, and able to prioritize tasks, as well as pivot to other high priority urgent requests.
