We are seeking to hire an experienced Accounting Professional for a Sr. Staff Accountant position in our Forest Hill, Maryland corporate headquarters. The primary responsibilities of the Sr. Staff Accountant involve handling senior accounting duties daily that are assigned by management. This full-time employment opportunity in scenic Harford County offers you experience that will advance your career, knowledge growth, and professional development.

General Responsibilities:

• Prepare month end journal entries.
• Prepare financial statements and performance indicator reports.
• Maintain month end reconciliations.
• Maintain Great Plains software system.
• Assist with annual external review.
• Prepare monthly sales and use tax payments/returns.
• Assist with other accounting department responsibilities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in accounting.
• 2+ Years of related experience.
• Experience with Great Plains accounting software a plus but not required.
• Working knowledge performing the duties to be performed in this position.
