GVI, Inc., a Government Contractor industry leader, is seeking for a Junior Systems Administrator to join our Team!

Position Responsibilities:

  • Implement, install, configure, monitor, troubleshoot, and evaluate existing and new Microsoft Windows server and workstation operating systems.
  • Be responsible for integration of user workstations with Microsoft Windows server operating systems and Active Directory
  • Regularly confer with database programmers, analysts, other systems administrators, and users regarding current and prospective system changes and future needs.
  • Provide support to site-managed technical staff regarding system administration and usage.
  • Support efforts of technicians who are involved in diagnosing and correcting system related failures and performing system management activities; determine logical solutions to complex system administration and application problems.
  • Perform any other related duties as assigned by the Senior Systems Administrator, Technology or other appropriate administrator.
  • Analyzing and figuring out the system needs of an organization
  • Keeping systems operating efficiently by performing any necessary upgrades and repairs
  • Planning a strategy to maintain system security on the computers and the network as a whole
  • Optimizing and evaluating the system regularly
  • Assigning and updating security permissions for the system network
  • Training or directing users on the correct use of software and hardware within the system
  • Performing problem-solving tasks when alerted by a user or monitoring system

Position Requirements:

  • US Citizen
  • Active Top-Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • BS degree in Electrical/ Electronic/ Computer Engineering, Physics, or Computer Science
  • Three (3) years of experience in C4ISR systems, to include: Systems Analysis, Systems Architecture, Systems/Equipment Support, Test and Evaluation, and Logistics support of C4ISR requirements.
  • Three (3) years of technical experience in support of C4ISR Specific Projects, to include:
  • Extensive and thorough knowledge and experience with Navy or Marine Corps electronic systems design, installation, documentation and system operational verification tests
  • Electronic circuit design;
  • Local Area/Wide Area Network design and configuration.
  • Web services.
  • Repair, maintenance, configuration control and management, and
  • § documentation.
  • Experience with Government or commercial drawings standards and practices.
  • Experience in the design of panel layouts and enclosures.
  • Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
  • Six (6) years of experience is preferred.
