Friendly, fast-paced accounting office seeks a motivated individual for the following full-time position:
Staff Accountant

• Perform monthly accounting work for payroll & bookkeeping clients
• Prepare internal use & compiled financial statements
• Manage monthly client contacts & prioritize work flow
• Complete work notes in billing system
• Maintain work assignments in database
• Prepare individual, partnership & corporation tax returns
• Correspond with federal & state agencies

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting is required
• Accounting experience of one or more years is preferred, not required
• Experience in a public accounting firm is preferred

The successful candidate must be:

• Detail oriented
• Flexible & adaptable
• Able to work independently
• Professional, friendly, & conservative in demeanor

Must possess the following skills and knowledge base:

• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Effective communication skills
• Knowledge of Lacerte Tax Software
• Working knowledge of QuickBooks
• Broad knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint Software
