Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical field required or 4 years relevant years of experience in lieu of a degree.

Experience

  • 4 years web/e-development programming experience required with a Bachelor's degree. To include: 4 years Sitecore platform experience and 4 years of experience in development of Microsoft solutions using ASP .NET, C#, SQL Server, Windows Server, HTML, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with a healthcare organization preferred
  • 4 years of MVC experience preferred.

License/Certification

  • Sitecore certified developer on version 9 or later preferred but not required.

Position Responsibilities: As developer on the digital marketing team in Texas Health's Brand Experience division, you will build custom solutions and interfaces leveraging the Sitecore platform. You will create and maintain integrated and contextual web experiences on the Sitecore platform that enable meaningful consumer engagements with the Texas Health Resources brand. To accomplish this work, you will collaborate closely with product owners, marketing strategists and other internal stakeholders – and external partners as needed – to complete development projects and tasks that fulfill digital goals, support marketing objectives and meet consumer expectations. You will also monitor and maintain the performance of the Sitecore platform, its integration points and other components of the digital ecosystem within your purview.

  • Development on the Website Platform
  • Help architect, design and implement efficient and reusable complex websites using Sitecore CMS.
  • Enhance and maintain key application and data integration points for public-facing site with a focus on publishing activities, consumer experience, CRM integrations and Sitecore platform functionality.
  • Collaborate with other developers to establish workflows and APIs.
  • Develop custom solutions and interfaces leveraging the Sitecore platform with clean, readable code that scales and performs well.
  • Design and manage execution of test plans to ensure that a quality solution is deployed.
  • Work closely with product owners, project managers, UX/UI team and others to analyze new feature requirements and break down high-level features into tasks with timelines.
  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use, optimization and scalability.
  • Document and maintain best practices, project standards, procedures, application, quality objectives and "lessons learned;" ensure that applications systems are developed in a way that complies with architectural/development standards and established methodologies and practices.
  • Continue to learn latest development techniques and best practices, and teach others.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested. Website Performance
  • Support and extend existing development processes, standards, monitoring and documenting to ensure solutions are achieving business objectives.
  • Report and troubleshoot performance issues related to Sitecore cloud hosting solution.
  • Develop, maintain and troubleshoot interfaces between Sitecore and other systems.
  • Collaborate and partner with vendors and IT departments as needed to resolve technical issues and implement solutions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested. Support and Governance
  • Provide hands-on technical assistance and training to content owners and content publishers as needed.
  • Maintain and enforce governance policies and procedures for the Sitecore platform.
  • Manage upgrades and implementations of Sitecore websites, applications and environments.
  • Support and/or install Sitecore software and related websites; participate in the installation, development, testing, and certification of company Sitecore instance and websites.
  • Perform Sitecore system administration and other duties as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

Skills

  • Experience in Sitecore 9.0+ development and with Sitecore Experience Platform capabilities
  • Integration of Sitecore and other 3rd party applications such as Marketing Automation, e-commerce, CRM, etc.
  • Implementation of Sitecore Analytics, Personalization, and Campaign Tracking/Automation.
  • Experience with responsive design, jQuery, CSS3, HTML, Bootstrap and mobile site delivery.
  • Experience with Sitecore JSS.
  • Strong background in ASP.NET.
  • Experience with Web Service APIs (e.g. REST, SOAP) and database development.
  • Experience with Solr preferred
  • Expertise in software architecture and design patterns including Helix design principle.
  • Experience with all aspects of Sitecore development and deployment.
  • Proficient in Unicorn serialization; using Unicorn for tracking Sitecore item changes.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud technologies, such as Azure Web App, Azure DevOps, Azure Slots, Azure Functions, etc.
  • Experience creating Azure CI/CD pipelines, releases.
  • Experience with branch strategies using git or Azure DevOps.
  • Some JavaScript experience needed.
  • Ability to trouble shoot and perform performance tuning on all layers of the web application.
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve business issues through solution-oriented projects.
  • Ability to design, maintain, and optimize business processes, as well as integrate business processes across disparate systems.
  • Familiarity with Agile software delivery methodologies such as Scrum, and tools such as DevOps and JIRA.
  • Experience building websites with Sitecore SXA.
  • Experience performing Sitecore upgrades is preferred.
  • Sitecore certified developer on version 9 or later preferable.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration (CI) practices a plus.
  • Understanding of CRM, product catalogs and e-commerce solutions preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills (listening, oral, and written communications); able to convey technical information to nontechnical audience in an understandable way.
