Woodshop Worker

Location: Monroe, CT

Do you love working with your hands? Children’s toy and furniture brand Milton & Goose, a high end furniture manufacturer, recently established a new manufacturing facility in Connecticut and is seeking an experienced woodworker.
This is a dynamic role for someone with a strong entrepreneurial spirit who will help to build their current offerings and be an integral part of the prototyping and development process for new designs. Details of the job are below.

Qualifications:

● Preferred experience in a woodworking, manufacturing environment

● Working knowledge of various shop equipment including routers, sanders, power tools, and hand tools

● Works well in a team environment to achieve a common goal

● Excellent problem-solving skills with extreme attention to detail

● Self starter with the capability to learn the ropes and jump in at all levels of production

● Able to shift gears as needed, so flexibility is a must

● Ability to perform physical duties such as lifting, bending and standing for long periods

● Must be a reliable, responsible, hard worker

● CNC Operator a huge plus (or willingness to learn)

Job Details:

● Perform light assembly and manufacturing tasks

● Sanding and prep of parts

● Assist team in helping the manufacturing process run smoothly by performing tasks as directed

● General warehouse duties

● Restock supplies and materials

● Empty sawdust containers
