Minimum Qualifications: Electrical Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience developing plans, solutions and electrical designs for facility and infrastructure projects


Desired Qualifications: Electrical Engineer

  • Experience working with US military or Department of Defense (DoD) projects
  • Demonstrable experience with design and construction standards
  • Demonstrable understanding applicable health and safety standards

Required Skills: Electrical Engineer

  • Experience using NexGen IT/TRIRIGA. Ability to input, prepare monthly execution and percent design reports inputs to support the preparation of monthly execution and percent design reports.
  • Proficient in commonly used engineering software programs. Able to develop, maintain, and utilize databases as decision-making tools and in concert with geographical interface systems (GIS) as appropriate.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and lead others in studies, designs, and construction projects, record and manage the processes and documentation, and to negotiate effectively with management to accept and implement recommendations, where proposals involve substantial resources and require extensive changes in established concepts and procedures.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint, AutoCAD, Cost Estimating Software. Specific capabilities must include word processing, spreadsheet, database, and graphics.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; negotiate complex issues; and maintain good working relationships.


Position Description: Electrical Engineer

Electrical Engineer providing project management and oversight for the US Air Force Client at Joint Base Anacostia Bolling in Washington, DC.

Full-Time (40 hours per week), salaried position with benefits.

  • Provide project management, electrical engineering expertise, construction support, and programmer services in collaboration with the government client. Fully manage the execution of project construction and handover/close out.
  • Services and deliverables include scoping and concept documents preparation, studies, meetings, presentations, analyses, site evaluations, quality assurance, plan review, and professional services. These shall be high quality and delivered in a timely fashion.
  • Input project data into Air Force or Navy online systems and software as needed. Use the Automated Data Processing (ADP) systems utilized by the 11CES and its customers. Systems include, but not limited to, AutoCAD and cost estimating systems such as Costworks or e4Clicks.
  • Develop technical requirements for government review. Assist in engineering assessments to gather requirements. Perform data collection to provide sufficient definition of the requirement to include site investigation reports. Provide support for the development of drawings and work descriptions for government review.
  • Write Government Scopes of Work for renovation projects and prepare detailed cost estimating for Air Force contracts.
