Position Overview

The Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Software Engineer will participate in the design and development of new functionality, and production support of ERP software. Responsibilities include the ability to identify and solve ERP application issues; must have analytical and software programming skills. Incumbent will be responsible for programming across all ERP applications, writing data interfaces, creating adhoc reports, analyzing and applying vendor patches and fixes.

Essential Job Functions

  • Use SQL coding to create and improve analytical tools/views used by the organization.
  • Assist in or lead projects for improvements to our existing business systems.
  • Analyze system transactions to find issues related to BOMs, costing, and inventory.
  • Work with Marketing/Sales to ensure feature option structure aligns with the price book.
  • Document and train on system procedures and processes by providing technical support and train ERP end-users.
  • Comply with company safety regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Deployment, implementation and maintenance of an ERP system.
  • Responsibility for building and maintaining modules in the ERP system.
  • Adaptation of the ERP system configuration to the needs of the organization.
  • Routine specification and management of settings and data in the ERP system and management of user permissions.
  • Specification, deployment and maintenance of the interfaces between the ERP system and the other sw systems used across the organization.
  • Offer professional response to technical and end-user queries vis-à-vis organizational processes.
  • Establishing ERP needs via business process analysis and consultation.
  • Analyzing existing infrastructure and performing IT system enhancements.
  • Writing customized programs and scripts, as well as configuring ERP applications.
  • Developing user-friendly functionalities and interfaces.
  • Installing ERP software and ensuring seamless integration with IT systems.
  • Performing diagnostic tests and resolving issues to optimize performance.
  • Preparing development progress updates and documenting ERP processes.

Requirements: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Minimum of Associate’s Degree in Engineering Technology or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Advanced ERP system knowledge with 5+ years' experience; Macola preferred.
  • Experience with manufacturing industry is a plus.
  • Experience with SQL coding and query writing, Microsoft Power Apps.
  • Experience implementing and/or demonstrating ERP software.
  • Knowledge of the ways various systems interact with each other, and the impact changes can make across the organization.
  • The successful candidate will provide subject matter expert and trusted advisor to our clients affording them the best possible guidance during requirements and design.
  • The successful candidate will work closely with ERP Technical and Functional team.
  • Experience as an individual contributor and Analyst in general to lead and/or participate as a team member in all phases of a development including but not limited to requirements gathering, fit gap analyses, construction, test, cutover, production and post-production support.
  • Microsoft Office experience required.
  • Analytical and detail oriented.
  • Critical thinking, problem solving and exceptional oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
