Information Technology Manager

ILM Corp is an established 46+ year business located in Fredericksburg, VA. We are seeking a motivated and experienced for a hands-on Information Technology Manager. ILM provides document capture services such as data extraction, document scanning and digital mailroom services for federal and state agencies as well as commercial organizations. We are a family oriented and focused business that is looking for another team oriented professional to join our amazing team.

A successful candidate works with the president of the company to see the big picture and concepts yet know how to get into the weeds to implement a plan. Be patient, have excellent communication skills to support our staff of 25 people and with our business clients. Have a “how may I help you attitude.” Able to evaluate ideas and provide reasoned feedback to management of the pros and cons. Work at an even pace and well under pressure. You will report directly to the owner / president. Able to manage their time and delegate tasks to others who are better suited.

Work closely with our experienced project managers, in-house developer and professional vendors / suppliers to maximize our technology tools to get our projects done effectively. We deliver data to clients in a generic format such as XML, MS Excel, CSV file, TIFF, PDF, etc. Therefore data and systems integration to coordinate for the transfer of data files to client specific computer systems is a key requirement.

IT Manager Job Requirements and Responsibilities:

• Report to the company president.
• Support staff complement of 25.
• Work closely with clients, project managers, in-house developers and production staff to support existing operations.
• Stays abreast of recent industry technological solutions that increase productivity, reduce costs or improve quality.
• Continual process improvement by researching hardware and software opportunities and evaluating cost / benefit analysis.
• Manage licensing, technology procurement, and input into the budgeting process.
• Develops and maintains processes and systems to capture production metrics.
• Initiates, coordinates, and enforces systems, policies, and procedures.
• Maintains a safe and secure work environment.
• Able to write code or COTS to manipulate data files into client specified specifications and automate routine tasks and functions. Work with staff developer for these items.
• Data and systems integration - Able to coordinate for the transfer of data files to client specific computer systems.
• Verifies application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented.
• Preserves assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures.
• Perform risk and intrusion assessments internally or with 3rd party professionals.
• Correct and mitigate security issues.
• Perform security updates.
• Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
• Provide resources and input for ingoing ISO Quality Management Certification and SOC I Type II audits.

This is a full time position at our Fredericksburg, VA office. Hybrid schedule is possible. Must be a US citizen to be able to pass background checks. Salary range is $85,000 - $125,000 commensurate with skill and experience. Benefits include paid vacation, holidays, 401(k) with match, Pension Plan, employee health and dental insurance.
