Job Description :

This is a critical Senior Marketing Manager Legacy Brands role in the Calbee organization responsible for the highly dynamic and exciting legacy brand business. Our Shrimp Chips, Jagarico, and Jagabee brands are iconic in Asia but limited in the US and have great potential. We are looking for an experienced Senior Brand Marketing Manager who is driven with a vision to take these iconic brands to the next level. An entrepreneurial spirit and experience in strategic portfolio management are a must.

Education and Work Experience:

  • University Degree and 6-plus years of related marketing, trade marketing, or sales experience managing a broad portfolio of brands
  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a Brand Manager or above in a CPG company
  • Experience in leading a team of brand marketers to deliver business goals

· Experience working in the Asia market (preferred)

  • Experience in overseeing strategy and execution of a variety of marketing tools including advertising, customer activation and consumer research

Working Conditions:

  • Based in Fairfield, CA (hybrid in office/remote)
  • Travel up to 20% of the time

Specific Knowledge and Skills:

  • Broad Marketing/Brand strategy experience in a high-growth environment
  • High affinity for Asian brands/businesses is a plus
  • Strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong presentation skills

Scope of Responsibilities:

1. Manage the brand portfolio & product P&Ls to meet annual revenue and profit targets

  • Drive overall business by developing, evaluating, and recommending innovation launches and marketing programs that are based on consumer insights, and category trends
  • Improve brand profitability through changes to the product line as appropriate
  • Track and analyze business results as a basis for recommending brand strategy and plans
  • Prepare annual sales plans, track sales and profit versus plan, evaluate monthly spending against budget, and recommend modifications as needed throughout the year
  • Be a key contributor to the development of Calbee’s 3-year legacy brand plan (innovation, activation, etc.)

2. Lead execution of Marketing Plans

  • Initiate and manage marketing programs to effectively build the business and enhance brand equity including advertising and customer activation
  • Lead new product launches, including developing timelines, monitoring the progress of all functional areas against timelines, and providing direction for developing products, packaging, and marketing programs
  • Develop sales materials and consumer promotion/product launch materials
  • Be the consumer advocate within the organization. Conduct consumer research to ensure informed decision making
  • Partner with Sales to develop programs that maximize impact and drive incremental sales. Act as marketing liaison with key accounts to further develop business and partnership

3. Management and Leadership

  • Provide leadership in a fast-paced environment with stretch goals
  • Set objectives, plan project steps and resources needed, and manage execution
  • Help organizations solve logistic issues and improve efficiency
  • Train and develop the team and effectively develop people to meet current and future needs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
