The Bernard Group is looking for a Workflow Specialist to join our Production Scheduling team. In this role, you will act as the root cause analysis expert and will be responsible for identifying any shortcomings between the planned time and actual time of print production projects, as well as developing and recommending potential solutions. You'll work to optimize workflow of each work center and partner with the Schedule teams to implement necessary improvements.

Shift available: Monday through Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

On top of that you must have:

  • a high school diploma or GED required
  • a minimum of 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment with at least 3 year of experience in the printing industry as a Production Lead preferred
  • proficient in Google and Excel, Mac a plus

In this position, you will:

  • monitor and observe variance between planned and actual times in each production department or work center.
  • strategize and present practices and operations that improve workflow efficiency .
  • attend and often facilitate kick-off meetings with stakeholders to review any identified workflow disruptions.
  • evaluate root cause and ensure product is moving accurately in order to identify and execute necessary counter-measures so that any found issues are not repeated .
  • analyze existing process flows for continuous improvement in order to create more efficient and effective work methods.
  • partner with the appropriate teams to ensure print jobs are productive.
  • partner and strategize with Project Scheduling Coordinator in updating the team on process changes as appropriate.
  • perform quality reviews of the pre-production process and deliver feedback to associates as necessary
  • utilize KPIs and job data to refine job plans and provide feedback on potential job enhancements to necessary departments
  • define scope and goals for after-action review meetings in order to support workflow process improvement.
  • serve as the major incident manager by course-correcting any delayed work to ensure jobs are realigned with the estimated schedule
  • ensure new procedures are documented and implemented within targeted timeframes
  • proactively and effectively communicate with all teams and Project Scheduling Coordinator
  • Perform miscellaneous projects and complete various tasks as requested by management
