ACCOUNTING ANALYST

Job Description

American International Tooling, located in Minden, NV, is actively hiring for an Accountant. We have experienced unprecedented growth and are increasing our staff. This is a full-time, dayshift/on-site position, generally working Monday through Friday from 7:00AM to 3:30PM.

Summary

The position maintains accounting records requiring professional competency; takes trial balances and makes adjusting and closing entries; reviews several types of ledger accounts and entries for their accuracy; posting of accounts payable and accounts receivable and verifies vouchers.

Analyzes and prepares statement on profit and loss, balance sheets, receipts, and disbursements. Creates weekly Cash Flow Balance Sheet, manages cash flow on an ongoing basis. Establish and execute payments based on various levels of priority.

Prepare reconciliations on accounts and banks balances and assist in the preparation of the balance sheet, profit, and loss statements, and other financial reports. This position reports the organization’s finances to management as requested.

This position will train to provide backup support for the Purchasing Agent in all aspects of the position.

Essential Accounting Functions

• Full charge skills in accounts payable and accounts receivables, including reconciliation.
• Manage all assigned accounting transactions.
• Audit financial transaction to ensure entries are processed correctly.
• Ensure entries for assets and liability reflect correct postings.
• Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
• Ensure all posted accounting entries have backup documentation, are orderly and maintained.
• Assist cost accounting in auditing physical and work-in-process inventories.
• Assist in preparing annual personal property taxes. Ensure trackability and accuracy of items listed as personal property.
• Reconciles bank statements to accounting system, makes appropriate corrections when required.

Essential Purchasing (Backup) Functions

• Provide backup to the purchasing agent when the purchasing agent is out of the office. This may consist of:
• Selecting the most suitable suppliers in terms of reliability, product quality, and cost-efficiency.
• Requesting cost proposals and negotiation contracts and prices.
• Preparing and processing purchase orders.
• Maintaining records of all transactions, purchase orders, receipts, and payments.
• Scheduling and verifying purchase deliveries.

Education and Experience

Associate degree in accounting, degree in process, and/or 2+ years’ experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, with a general knowledge of Purchasing procedures and skills.

Pay Range: $25.00 to $30.00/hour – Non-Exempt.
