The Club

Founded in 1896 as Illinois third golf club, Exmoor is a private, full-service country club, located in Highland Park, Illinois, 28 miles north of Chicago. With a championship golf course designed by Donald J. Ross, Exmoor continues to fulfill its original mission as a family club devoted to the game of golf, while offering a growing range of sports and social opportunities. Sports at Exmoor include golf, curling, tennis, swimming, ice skating, platform tennis, cross country skiing and the fastest growing sport in America pickleball. Members of all ages enjoy a year-round schedule of exciting social activities.

The Clubs mission is to provide the finest golf, sporting, and social experiences for its community of member families and their guests all year long.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Sets up all banquet stations: linens, flatware, plates, glassware, pitchers, and preps service area with breads, butters, sweeteners, condiments and any other ordered needs
• Serves food and beverages, clears used dishes, ensures water glasses are filled
• Greets and attends to guests in a courteous, attentive and timely manner
• Maintain a clean and organized work areas for efficient and hygienic service; ensure area is clean and broken down at the end of each event
• Ensure your understanding of the function with your manager and what procedures are to be followed
• Learn menu for function and be prepare for questions or any special requests from guests
• Other functional duties as required

Qualifications:

• Should have 6 months experience in similar service role
• Must have current food handlers and Bassett certification (can be completed upon accepting a position)
• Possess excellent customer service skills
• Effective English communication skills with co-workers and guests
• Should be able to stand and walk for 4-6 hours at a time
• Should be able to lift up to 25 lbs. and carry full trays to and from Kitchen
• Should be helpful to other team members, and project a positive service attitude
• Must be dependable and punctual, and be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays
