Urgie’s Cheesesteaks looking for two engaging, fun, and experienced Bartenders to provide attentive and friendly service to our bar and restaurant patrons. This is an EXTREMELY busy bar, especially when school is in session, and we will be looking for a complete Rockstars.

You must have knowledge of different types of beer, wine, and liquor, and know how to mix a variety of specialty beverages. Expectations are bartenders to engage with our customers in a fun and friendly manner while ensuring that all ABC regulations and guidelines are met. You will also be responsible for balancing the cash register, taking inventory of stock, and replenishing supplies when necessary.

Job Requirements and Responsibilities

• 3 years Management Experience
• Experience in Managing: Inventory, Cost Controls, Scheduling and Training of Bar Staff
• Skilled in Mixology and as well as Trending Drinks and Presentations
• Creative Leadership with an Entrepreneurial Spirit
• Focused on Growing Bar Revenue
• Basic Computer and Math Skills

Responsibilities:

• Take food and beverage orders from customers or wait staff and serving drinks as requested
• Mix drinks using an extensive range of ingredients including liquor, bitters, soda, water, sugar, and fruits
• Check identification to verify legal age requirements for all customers
• Monitor all patrons for alcohol intake to appropriate levels
• Assist in ensuring patrons have a safe ride home, calling a taxi or Uber when appropriate
• Provide a positive and friendly guest experience by interacting with patrons – including Philly Banter.
• Keep bar area clean, safe and organized
• Maintain a well-stocked bar with an adequate supply of liquor, beer, wine, mixers, ice, napkins, straws, glassware, and other accessories
• Organize the bar area to streamline drink preparation and inventory
• Assist bar manager in placing orders for liquor, beer, wine, and other supplies
• Slice, pit, and prepare fruit garnishes for drinks

Bartender Requirements and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years of experience working as a bartender
• Must be able to lift 20-pound boxes and stand for an 8-hour shift
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Basic computer skills and point of sale entry skills
• Ability to learn seasonal drinks
• Documented team player with a positive attitue
• Desire to have fun at work

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $22,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
