We are looking to hire a permanent, bridal stylist/boutique assistant (25 hours a week) for our bridal and formalwear shop in Oneonta. The position is Wednesday through Saturday with flexibility is a plus as more hours may be needed during our busy season.

Looking for a career minded, mature, honest, reliable, hard-working, pleasant, service-oriented person to work on the sales floor closely with brides and prom customers, as well as perform general store upkeep and other functions such as straightening racks and shelves, pressing/ironing/steaming garments, customer communication and follow-up, data entry, filing, mailing, etc. Strong social media skills in a business setting (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest) are an important quality for the successful candidate to possess.

The successful candidate needs to be detail oriented, able to work independently and be good at handling stressful situations. A team player is a must. The environment is fun and relaxed but also professional. You must be professionally dressed, immaculately groomed and well spoken. Computer and phone skills are required. Some knowledge of sewing and/or garment construction is a plus. Professional business posting experience on social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest preferred.

This position requires training so the right person will be someone who is looking for a career in high end retail sales with a passion for fashion. MUST BE ABLE TO WORK NIGHTS AND WEEKENDS, and flexibility is a plus. Knowledge of garment construction and sewing experience a big plus. Please forward your resume and references.

This position will require constant standing/walking and lifting up to 35 lbs. SATURDAYS ARE A MUST!!!!! We are a small, close knit group of workers who work very closely with each other and the public. We are helping people prepare for one of the most important days of their lives. For the safety of our customers and our staff, we are prioritizing applications of those who are fully vaccinated. Wearing a mask while at work is also still required at this time.
