Chief Culture Officer

For over 100 years, Maguire Iron has been an industry leader in the fabrication, construction, and maintenance of water storage tanks and towers. Maguire is in the implementation phase of a comprehensive organization-changing strategic plan that includes the construction of a state-of-the-art campus that will position Maguire as the industry leader in the water tank industry for decades to come. Maguire is also working directly with branding thought leaders to analyze and update our brand to resonate with our team members and customers more clearly.

Position Summary:

Maguire is seeking a culture leader to radically redesign our quality-of-life initiatives to ensure we are the employer of choice in our core and expanding markets. The Chief Culture Officer will join the executive team and report directly to the CEO. As a member of the executive team, the Chief Culture Officer will drive the quality-of-life initiatives within the Maguire strategic plan through the implementation phase, creating an organization centered on human dignity and service to internal and external customers.

Essential Functions:

  • Join the Maguire executive team as the thought leader for people and culture.
  • Carefully craft and deliver documents and presentations to the executive team.
  • Structure a system of total compensation to position Maguire to win the war for talent.
  • Evaluate current state processes and develop measurable initiatives to drive the organization’s recruitment, interview, selection, and hiring processes.
  • Review and provide improvements for an effective performance review process for all employees.
  • Develop and oversee a cadre learning program for new field hires.
  • Plan employee benefits, payroll, health, and safety programs.
  • Advocate for Maguire in deliberations with unions and lawyers.

Qualifications:

  • Possess a passion for service and a desire to drive a growing company.
  • Previous experience leading transformation in a senior HR role.
  • Advanced degree in Human Resources, or Business Administration. Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Senior Professional in Human Resources Certification (SPHR) or SHRM-Senior Certification Professional (SHRM-SCP) will be an advantage.
  • In-depth knowledge of local and national Human Resource processes, employment legislation, and legal regulations.
  • Possess an engaging personality and intellectual curiosity.
  • Ability to communicate the Maguire strategic plan and vision to internal and external customers through public speaking and engagement events.
  • Experience with facilitating an employer branding initiative.
  • Familiar with recruitment marketing strategies and selecting tools to drive success.
