Director, Enterprise Cyber Security Identity Architect

The Role

Fidelity Investments is looking for an experienced Architect to join the Enterprise Cyber Security organization, focusing on the development and launch of an Enterprise solution for managing Person Digital Identity.

The ECS organization is responsible for delivering effective security solutions to ensure enterprise resources are protected in a constantly evolving cyber-threat landscape. As part of that mission, ECS is providing architecture services supporting an initiative to provide a single outstanding and verified representation, “The Universal Identity” of every individual who establishes any relationship with Fidelity.

Key areas of accountability:

• Cyber Security leadership, to include standards and implementation guidance.
• You will collaborate with other platform architects and provide security architecture during the design, implementation, and deployment of Fidelity’s Identity Platform.
• Support business units as it relates to Identity Capture, Provisioning, and Identity Management.
• Defining an architectural strategy, with blueprints, that enable Fidelity’s Digital transformation and align ECS and Fidelity Enterprise technical strategy with Universal Identity
• Bridge the Identity data platform work with Authorization, Authentication and Identity strategies as the 3 Pillars of Trust for customer engagements

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

• Education: BS or Master’s in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems Engineering or Mathematics.
• Work Experience: minimum 7 years of demonstrated technical lead / architectural skills and responsibilities.
• Proven leadership skills, demonstrated ability to mentor, influence and partner with application architects, engineering, and product teams to deliver robust security solutions.
• Solid experience in Agile methodologies (Scrum and Kanban).
• Strong experience in crafting and developing software components and having a background in system architecture and use of open standards for data services.
• Demonstrated knowledge of relational databases, data integrity, data governance, identity correlation, LDAP directories.
• Experience with cloud security and resilience architectures and have designed highly-available applications in Amazon Web Services (AWS). Relevant certification in public cloud services (e.g., AWS Certified Solution Architect) is helpful.
• Comfortable understanding of overall security concepts around identity, authorization authentication, privacy, and cryptography is required, and in-depth experience and certification with security capability and products is desirable.
• Working knowledge of NIST – levels of assurance and digital identity guidelines.
• RESTful Java API Development and API orchestration knowledge and experience expected.
• Event Driven Architecture (EDA) knowledge and experience preferred.

Deep architectural understanding of the following:

• Provide thought leadership and facilitate education of the Universal Identity platform to include emerging identity trust mechanisms, identity proofing methods, and emerging digital identity ecosystems. Understand and uphold evolving regulatory and compliance requirements for protecting PII.
• Lead enterprise adoption strategy for Digital Identity capabilities leading to higher customer trust and improved customer experiences.
• Collaborate with peers, managers and business leaders on Digital Identity capture/management current state, standards, and goals/vision.
• Assist Engineering and squad leaders to develop product roadmaps for Identity capabilities and associated controls.
• Build and maintain an Enterprise Strategy document for Digital Identity, that defines the long-term vision for alignment with any current, and ongoing Digital Transformation initiatives.
