We are looking for a responsible Food Service Technician I to serve at our hospital in Atascadero. The ideal candidate will be experienced in a food service role focused on food preparation while maintaining safety, sanitation, and infection control standards.

Pay $15.50/Hour

Responsibilities

• Adhere to and maintain safety, sanitation, and infection control standards at appropriate levels at all times (including but not limited to the dining rooms and during patient meal service and/or special events).
• Must be able to provide written and/or verbal communications and daily documentation required in the various work areas.
• Adhere to and document all food safety requirements and procedures.
• Must follow HACCP Guidelines in all work areas.
• Keep the assigned area(s) clean daily, by end of shift.
• Food Preparation, including checking the food textures and temperatures.
• Checking meals to ensure diet restrictions are being followed.
• Receiving, Prep, Storage and Processing of various food items.
• May assist with cleaning, assembly and use of kitchen equipment or tools.
• Consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), as required.

Skills

• Minimum 6-12 months of food preparation/handling experience
• Basic knowledge of food handling & safety guidelines (HACCP)
• Flexibility to be scheduled any day of the week or any time of the day
• Reliable transportation to work in Atascadero,
• Attention to detail and conscientiousness
• Physically capable of standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling weights up to 50lbs throughout the day
• High school diploma is preferred but not required
• Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred but not required
• We utilize E-Verify for employment authorization purposes
• Minimum 18 years of age.
