We are a boutique tax planning firm in the Fremont California area. This is a Fremont office position until we know you have all the skills to work from home. We are looking for an individual with a minimum of THREE to FIVE years plus of experience in the following areas:
- Microsoft Excel - data sort, edit special values, edit fill series, edit delete row, data subtotal, =mid(), =numbervalue(), etc. and can point out step by step your excel procedures to the client.
- Preparation of Corporate, Partnership, LLC, Trust, and Individual tax returns
- Tax planning with corvee.com software
- Familiarity with accounting and bookkeeping procedures
- Proseries, quickbooks online, comfortable learning new software without instruction and without a manual
- Ability to work independently and work on a return from start to finish, including scanning of tax documents and obtaining missing items/information, reviewing against prior year for missing items, etc.
- Strong attention to detail – must be able to analyze what will be needed for a return, and get familiar with company processes in obtaining information needed for any return
- Have excellent communication skills – ease of communication with clients in person, emails texts calls etc
- Strong organization skills, with ability to multi-task and handle multiple returns throughout the season within a growing firm
- Seeking a responsible, professional individual who can take full charge and get familiar with clients and their entities without supervision. Ability to assist with clients’ needs – i.e., making tax payments, state/other filings, etc.
- Availability on Saturdays during tax season will be required (Mar16-May15, Aug16-Oct15)
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Tax Preparation Certification, Enrolled Agent or CPA license required
