Overview:
The Visiting Nurse Association of the Treasure Coast is seeking a CNA/HHA to work with Hospice.
Responsibilities:
1. The Hospice Aide performs only those personal care activities contained in a written assignment by a health professional employee.
2. Under the supervision of an RN provides quality care on an individual basis according to need; to promote good health, hygiene, and comfort.
3. Under the supervision of an RN within a team approach, corrects knowledge deficits and assists patients reach their maximum potential regarding mobility.
4. Under the supervision of an RN within a team approach, corrects knowledge deficits and assists patients in reaching their maximum level of activities of daily living.
5. Under the supervision of an RN provides comprehensive care on an individual basis for additional procedures and treatments as assigned.
6. Provides through verbal reports regarding patients condition to ensure continuity of care. Observes and reports physcial and mental changes to RN supervisor.
7. Provides thorough written reports regarding patient's condition to ensure continuity and quality of care. Maintains clinical records according to agency guidelines.
Qualifications:
  • Previous Hospice experience preferred
  • Must have high school diploma/GED
  • current CPR card
  • If C.N.A., must be currently certified as a C.N.A. with the state of Florida and be able to show 20 hours of HHA training. If HHA, must have certificate showing 75 hours HHA training.
