Job Description :

C2N Diagnostics, a biotech company actively involved in developing diagnostics for neurological disorders, is looking for a qualified IT Network and Systems Administrator to join its IT group. Overall responsibilities include assisting with company computer/server network management, software development and implementation, database administration, data privacy and security, VoIP telephony management, project management and technical support. This position will be located in St. Louis. Candidates located in St. Louis are preferred.

The IT Network and Systems Administrator will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring, administering and maintaining company infrastructure and IT assets including computer systems, network, intranet, firewalls, virus protection
  • Ensuring security and privacy of all company data/information by implementing and maintaining the most current virus, security and threat protection software and processes
  • Scheduling and monitoring data backups to ensure all company-owned work is saved and retrievable
  • Installing network system and software improvements and upgrades
  • Establishing, monitoring and enforcing all data systems security and privacy protection policies and procedures
  • Coordinating data privacy/security and quality issues with the QA manager
  • Configuring, installing and maintaining all wired and wireless computer equipment
  • Assisting and providing technical expertise with IT asset procurement including all computer software and hardware systems
  • Writing code and program information systems to execute routine processing tasks
  • Overseeing and managing the following:

-IT infrastructure compliance with relevant privacy and security regulations
-Maintenance of company’s LC-MS workstations & software lifecycle
management
-FTP data to clients

  • Interfacing with all levels of staff and management
  • Interfacing with external vendors and service providers
  • Performing internal and third party (vendor) security risk assessments
  • Investigating security incidents and respond to events in real-time
  • Writing detailed security incident response reports
  • Developing and promoting best practices for information security
  • Performing periodic risk assessments on all systems, processes and vendors
  • Managing and overseeing companywide penetration testing
  • Performing gap analysis of IT security processes and determine mitigation methods for identified gaps where applicable

Qualified Candidates will possess the following qualifications:

  • Minimum of three (3) years prior experience within IT at a clinical diagnostic laboratory
  • Minimum of three (3) years of prior experience in IT privacy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A strong customer service acumen
  • A proven ability to handle multiple priorities in a professional manner
  • A strong team player and team leader acumen
  • Bachelor’s degree required, a master’s degree in computer science, information management, computer engineering, or a related field is preferred
  • Appropriate certifications in a MicroSoft environment (e.g. Microsoft Certified Administrator, Microsoft Certified Solution Architect. MSCNA) is preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit and stand for up to periods of four (4) hours
  • Ability to lift up to thirty (30) pounds in an office environment
