Job Description:
Mawson is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer 1 to support the development, testing, deployment, and support for infrastructure, inventory, and system performance applications. You’ll be part of a small technical team who are ultimately responsible for the software application infrastructure which powers and monitors our business. Our architecture is consistently evolving as our business grows and adapts to the global market, and relies on intelligently crafted automation process to ensure the stability of our performance.
As a Infrastructure Engineer 1, you will be expected to see through infrastructure and application project lifecycles using best practices to support the development, deployment, testing, documentation, and maintenance of mission-critical technical tools. This role will report to the Project Manager Organization (PMO) Manager and be held responsible for various metrics such as deployment frequency, change volume, and testing and deployment success. The role will be Hybrid based out of our Pittsburgh, PA office and with frequent visits to our on-site operations in the Western PA area.
Responsibilities:
· Implements time and cost-effective solutions, processes, and protocols for software applications, upgrades, and version rollouts that meets the needs of various departments in the business.
· Collaborates with Systems Architect and the Network Operations team to integrate projects into compliant and secure cloud-based environments.
· Collaborates with the Operations, Logistics, and Compliance teams to implement feature requests related to inventory management applications with a sense of priority.
· Troubleshoots and resolves software and hardware compatibility issues across the network.
· Performs on-site testing for implementation, maintenance, and improvement of operational applications with technical and non-technical colleagues.
· Communicates with internal and external project development teams on technical requirements, features, issues, and use-case scenarios.
· Supports PMO Manager in documentation of project development lifecycle and product specifications.
· Supports development of automated processes, data visualization, and procurement of technical tools that enable increased visibility on operational productivity.
· Performs routine backups, updates, and testing on related projects.
Key Qualifications and Attributes:
· Excellent understanding of system development and design, user experience concepts, and application project lifecycles.
· Experience with scripting, programming languages, LAN/WAN, and IT systems.
· Working knowledge of cloud service platforms, ideally Microsoft Azure.
· Experienced in version control best practices using source code management tools such as Github.
· Basic familiarity with Agile principles and project management tools.
· Experience with workflow mapping and data analysis tools
· Familiarity with compliance and security standards.
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Technical writing skills a bonus.
· Must be highly organized with the ability to meet deadlines and estimate project component efforts.
· Must be able to work on a computer for extended periods of time.
· Must be willing to travel to operational facilities in the area to implement testing and implementation of projects.
