Position Summary

SSG of Georgia, LLC. continues to grow. We have reached the point in our growth where it is imperative to add new software platforms and processes that will provide the platforms for continued expansion. We recently completed implementation of most of our HR Modules in the new HRIS system (including ATS) and are working toward final implementation of our ERP Platform, CRM and Project Management Tool. The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for gathering end-user operational requirements and applying software engineering principles to design, develop, test, debug and deploy programs. Additionally, this role will help maintain and improve existing systems. May also assist with non-programming, general IT hardware needs and network maintenance for the corporate office here in Jackson, Georgia (South of Atlanta, outside the traffic and congestion of the city). This is full-time, benefit eligible role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develops information systems by designing, developing, and installing software solutions.
  • Determines operational feasibility by conducting analysis, evaluating system feasibility, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
  • Develops software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, data usage, and work processes.
  • Leads brainstorming sessions and end-user operational meetings to determine system needs & associated reporting
  • Investigates problem areas, test and debug as necessary
  • Follows the software development lifecycle.
  • Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.
  • Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
  • Improves operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures.
  • Obtains and licenses software by obtaining required information from vendors, recommending purchases, and testing and approving products.
  • Protects operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Provides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Technical School Program Degree in Programming or Software Development (or similar) + 3 years’ experience (equivalent work experience may replace formal education)
  • Strong experience with Java, HTML, JavaScript, Bootstrap, Ajax and jQuery
  • Experience working with CRM software
  • Experience working with Accumatica is a strong plus (ERP experience required)
  • Experience working in the construction industry is a plus
  • Ability to lead brainstorm sessions and meetings
  • Analytical thinking skills
  • Math knowledge for understanding programming
