After hours maintenance of systems is an expectation. This position is also part of an on call rotation. Variations from these hours may be made based on the needs of the department.

The IT Services Manager is responsible for managing the operational work of the help desk and network team. This includes managing all work submitted through the service desk, scheduled work to maintain technical operations, managing the operating and capital expenditures, and all organizational change as reflected by work performed by the IT department.

Education and Experience:

Required Skills / Abilities:

• Minimum of a two-year degree in computer systems or network technologies

• Strong understanding of ITIL standards
• Experience leading formal change control processes
• Demonstrated understanding of managed services with a focus on delightful remote support experiences
• Proficiency with leading a diverse and dynamic team
• Ticketing data analysis, including resource budgeting and forecasting
• Effective and concise verbal and written communication
• Demonstrates strong ethics and provides a sense of safety
• Interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
• Operational mindset: ability to create efficient workflows and execute to deliver timely, accurate services
• Systems and process mindset and understanding
• Tenacity and attention to detail

Preferred Skills / Abilities:

• BS in Information Systems, Information Systems Security, or equivalent certifications a plus
• Intimate knowledge of the systems serviced by the Service Desk Team
• Proficient with Ticketing based systems, calendaring planned service events, and resource scheduling
• High emotional intelligence
• Capable of developing and nurturing workplace culture and growth
