Position: IT Specialist (HIRING IMMEDIATELY)

Location: Mendota, MN - In office

Compensation: $27-$29/hr

Avenica is currently hiring for an IT Specialist position. The ideal candidate for this position is a professional interested in a variety of technical aspects, communicating with employees, problem-solving, and managing technology platforms.

Responsibilities of the IT Specialist:

• Investigate user problems and identifies their source
• Manage our mobile technology platforms
• Maintain equipment inventory
• Serve as a point of contact for technology support questions for employees
• Learn to work within a variety of systems and tools to diagnose, triage, communicate, and report on processes within internal and external business units.
• Assist in technical issues at the company’s asphalt plants and travel on-site as needed (all within the metro area)
• Contribute as requested in software development and integration initiatives
• Other duties or projects, as assigned

Requirements of the IT Specialist:

• Associate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field of study preferred
• Exceptional problem-solving and decision making skills
• Ability to communicate written and verbally with end users
• Technical support experience in a business setting preferred
• A strong curiosity and a desire to learn new systems to expand one’s technical skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines, while maintaining focus in an environment with conflicting demands and priorities
• Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and Microsoft Office Suite applications
