Snow Patrol is a locally owned Snow and Ice Control company based in New Berlin Wisconsin. As we expand our fleet, we are looking to expand our team. We’re currently looking for a Diesel/Heavy equipment lead mechanic to join our team. This individual must have a positive attitude and an eye for detail. As a Lead Diesel/Heavy Equipment Mechanic you will work side by side with our other shop mechanic’s in diagnosing issues and giving them any assistance they may need.

Job Position: Full Time

Shift:

Monday – Friday 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.

Occasional Saturday’s along with emergency work during snow fall events.

Pay Rate: $35.00 - $40.00 Per Hour.

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate any equipment to diagnose problems along with inspecting equipment for any broken parts or defects.
• Maintain and repair any issues that may be found on any excavators, loaders, dozers, etc (Case, John Deere, Volvo, Komastsu & Liebherr) and any medium duty snow plow trucks, and salters.
• Ability to work through unexpected equipment failure situations.
• Ability to repair heavy equipment including but not limited to hydraulic lines, electrical systems and any other issues that may be located.
• Willing to work well with others and help other mechanics as needed.
• Ability to work independently but still ask questions when unsure of an issue.
• Perform preventive maintenance and complete inspections on both heavy equipment and trucks.
• Work to keep the shop clean & organized.
• Keep all trucks up to date on Wisconsin DOT regulations.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow procedures and managerial direction.

Job Requirements:

• Willing to learn & grow your knowledge base.
• Ability to lift, push & pull anywhere between 50 & 100 lbs.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Class A or B CDL license is preferred with a clean driving record.
• Willing to work well with others.
