The Loadout Operations Manager is responsible for oversight of the loadout/trucking logistics function for the OnCore plant operations. Responsible for planning, coordinating and day to day monitoring of customer pickups and inventory levels to address upcoming production excesses/shortfalls based on the current pace of customer pickups
Essential Functions
- Managing activities of trucking loadout staff to effectively dispatch trucks in and out of the OnCore plant site.
- Reviewing production level reports and customer order reports and coordinating between sales, customer service, and inventory, to ensure the continuous flow of trucks moving through to pick up inventory with the goal of balancing supply and demand.
- Working with customers and the Hi-Crush customer service and inventory teams to ensure quality customer service (maximum efficiency)
- Strive to continuously improve the level of service at the OnCore site, through constant evaluation of processes and standards
- Planning loadout operator work schedules to ensure required staffing for 24/7 operation
- Ensuring safety and environmental practices are maintained and all regulatory requirements are met and exceeded
- Maintain necessary files and reports
- Maintain staffing by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training and developing employees
- Prepare performance evaluations and providing feedback to direct reports to improve performance and to provide discipline when necessary in support of company policies and procedures
- Establish effective industry relationships
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education:
- HS Diploma or GED required
- BA or BS degree preferred
Experience & Skills:
- 5+ Years’ Experience in supply chain with prior experience in the energy, distribution and/or industrial minerals sectors highly desirable
- Prior experience with trucking logistics highly desirable strongly preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge required; knowledge of sand and proppant applications, quality requirements, and market outlets strongly preferred
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft word and excel spreadsheet applications required desirable
- Excellent Verbal and Written Communication skills
- Strong Leadership skills
- Self-motivator/self-starter with a positive attitude
- Problem solver/Problem solving techniques
- Able to manage and work with and train others
- Work performed in an outdoor environment with constant exposure to inclement weather conditions
- Safety glasses, hardhat, and steel toe boots must be worn
Certifications & Licenses:
- Valid state driver’s license with no active violations within the previous three years
Physical Demands:
Frequently Lift/Carry or Push/Pull 50 lbs
Other Physical Requirements:
Regularly required to sit or stand, reach and move about the facility
