Retail / Personal Care industry Leader seeking a R&D Project Manager!

• Ability to scope and research raw material technology for new product claims, efficacy, etc.
• Responsible to execute all relevant commercialized milestones once aesthetics are approved by Brand/PD
• Assess challenges and risks in stability or compatibility, troubleshoot, map out action plan for resolution and mobilize appropriate teams and base of supply
• Accountable for R&D milestones in SAP Product Lifecycle Management database. i.e, formula approvals and bill of materials
• Manage key fragrance house & contract manufacture’s Product Development Request deliverables
• Responsible for maintaining all Product Develop Request development standards
• Attend and present out at weekly Commercialization meetings
• Support cross- functional teams with on-site trouble shooting at contract manufacturer, i.e. attending pilot/line trials to provide technical development support, shade matching a production batch, approving physical characteristics, or in process adjustments
• Primary technical liaison on activities for their assigned programs
• Requires extensive internal cross-functional collaboration and external vendor interaction
• Key decision maker and voice for accountable sub-brands; Aligns and updates manager as necessary
• Connects and builds relationships within R&D and with cross functional teams, including onboarding, touch-bases and alignment meetings

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5-7 + years’ experience in R&D or raw materials applications lab
• Experience in Personal Care, Consumer Goods, Skincare, Makeup or Haircare is preferred
• Experience in project management preferred
• Good problem solving and decision-making skills
• Displays a sense of urgency and eager to take initiative; ability to adapt and embrace change
• Advanced level of communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
• Strong influencing and interpersonal skill

EDUCATION:

• BS/MS degree in science related field
• Remote approx 30 hours/week

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $42.00 - $52.00 per hour
