Position Summary

In this role, you will be developing and implementing procurement strategies and processes that align with the organization's goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers and vendors to secure favorable terms and prices, while conducting market research to stay informed about trends and innovations in the industry.
  • Sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers and vendors.
  • Performing risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements.
  • Manage non-contract manufacturer supplier relationships and ensure they meet performance standards and deliver goods and services on time and at acceptable pricing.
  • Develop and maintain procurement policies, procedures and systems to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborating with other departments to understand their needs and ensure procurement supports their goals.
  • Establish clear and measurable goals and KPIs to ensure sustainable growth and maturity of the procurement function.
  • Regular Purchase order maintenance and closure

Collaborate across departments for procurement and financial activities. Ie. invoicing, receiving etc.Education/Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, supply chain management, or procurement with 7+ years' experience (or 10+ for AD) .
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Negotiation: Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and prices from suppliers.
  • Market knowledge: Knowledge of the industry, market trends and innovations, and an understanding of the supply chain.
  • Project management: The ability to manage procurement projects, including developing timelines, budgets, and tracking progress.
  • Takes self-initiative / Pro-active in looking for and proposing improvements.
  • Analytical skills: The ability to analyze data and market trends to make informed decisions.
  • Compliance: Knowledge of procurement laws and regulations and the ability to ensure procurement processes are compliant.
  • Supplier management: The ability to manage supplier relationships, evaluate supplier performance, and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Adaptability: The ability to quickly adapt to change and stay informed about industry developments and trends, and work within fast moving cross-functional environment
