Job Summary
The Senior Corporate Counsel is responsible for providing appropriate and responsive legal support and advice to the Company on a variety of legal matters. This position must have a solid business orientation and focus on practical problem solving, while upholding the Company’s strong ethics, culture, and principles of integrity.
Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide responsive and effective legal support and counsel to all departments of the Company, including executive leadership, sales, marketing, supply chain, R&D, finance and operations
• Identify legal risks and recommend and implement risk mitigation strategies
• Interpret and advise on applicable laws and Masimo policies
• Draft, review, edit, and negotiate all types of agreements, from standard to complex, including dealer, distributor, manufacturer, vendor, licensing, and other agreements
• Coordinate with and seek feedback and input from subject matter experts across Masimo to complete commercial transactions
• Prepare and provide training on various compliance and legal topics
• Ensure compliance with U.S. and international laws and regulations and Masimo policies and procedures
• Support global subsidiaries, business initiatives, and expansion
• Manage and direct outside counsel as appropriate
• Perform special projects as assigned

Minimum & Preferred Qualifications and Experience
Minimum Qualifications

• Admission and member in good standing of a State Bar and qualified to practice as in-house counsel in California
• Six or more years of experience at a law firm or in-house for a large, multi-national corporation
• Significant experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts
• Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication, research and presentation skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with executive management and subject matter experts across departments
• Practical, logical, and efficient problem solver
• Strong work ethic, team player, and positive attitude
• Organized and keen attention to detail
• Results oriented, self-motivated, and self-directed

• Excellent project management skills and ability to work cross-functionally
• Able to handle multiple concurrent assignments, and assume personal responsibility for deliverables under tight deadlines, working well under pressure in a rapidly changing environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience within a multi-national healthcare or consumer electronics company
• Knowledge of and experience with privacy/data security laws, laws and regulations regarding advertising and product labeling and export/import regulations
• Experience with intellectual property matters including maintenance and enforcement

Education
A Juris Doctorate from an ABA accredited law school with a strong academic record is required.
Physical requirements/Work Environment
This position primarily works in an office environment. It requires frequent sitting, standing and walking. Daily use of a computer and other computing and digital devices is required. May stand for extended periods when facilitating meetings or walking in the facilities. Some travel is necessary.
