Metro Eighteen – Controller (Finance & HR)

• Controller will manage an accounting and finance staff of (3) responsible for the San Francisco and the satellite, Southern CA location. Controller will report to the (2) main partners/owners.
• Lead a team responsible for financial accounting, reporting, budget and forecast development, cash flow, A/P, billing, payroll and job costing.
• Knowledge of construction accounting (AIA Billing, % Completion, Accrual Accounting) in Incredibly Valuable
• Supervise third-party payroll processing for approximately 60 employees using QuickBooks.
• Provide expertise, vision and best practices to ownership and represent finance on the management team.
• Develop job costing analysis/metrics, KPIs, dashboards and tools in support of the business operations and growth.
• Engage with vendors and clients as necessary.
• Primary point of contact for the outside CPA tax firm.
• Primary HR Functions (Compliance, I9, Onboard/Offboard, Benefits Administration).

Requirements:

• 5yrs+ years private company experience with executive presence.
• Construction/Professional Services/Hospitality industry with job costing.
• Ability to implement best practices in an entrepreneurial environment.
• Strong full cycle accounting with hands on GL/Close.
• Deep Experience using QuickBooks Online (Strongly preferred)
• Experience developing internal reporting/metrics highly desired.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
